How to get Certified Copies from MCA Portal?

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs allows a person to view documents of a company with the help of “get certified copies” option available on MCA site. However, log in and the payment is necessary before viewing certified copies of any company. After the login on “My Workspace” and payment, you can make a request to get certified copy of a company.

Get Certified Copies option is available to those who had their company registered under MCA and had earlier filed the required form. But, unfortunately, due to misplacement of the document, wants to get their filed forms back them with the help of the “get certified copies” option, you can get back the documents and returns filed.

Get Certified Copies

To get certified copies of a company or a limited liability partnership, below are the fields that you need to fill in order to get certified copies.

• Company Name 
• Company CIN/FCRN 
• Company Registration Number
• Country of Origin

The process to “Get Certified Copies” option is somewhat similar to the process of “viewing company’s public document”. However view public document is the option for inspection purpose.

Process to Get Certified Copies

The process to view certified copies of a company or LLP involves 10 major steps, after which accessing certified copies of any company would become possible.

STEP 1 : The primary step is to open MCA Website from google www.mca.gov.in

STEP 2 :  Opening the MCA Portal will show you homepage of MCA and from there you need to scroll on the option named as “MCA Services”

STEP 3 : From the list of options given under MCA Services, select on “Document Related Service”.

STEP 4 : You will find the first option named as “get certified copies”. Select it and proceed on the next page.

STEP 5 : You will then see the page from where you can easily obtain certified copies from mca of any company naming “Get Certified Copies”

STEP 6 : If you want to get certified copies of a company then, select the option of the “company”. However, if you want to get certified copies of a LLP then select “LLP”.

 STEP 7 : From the below three options, fill any one of them you have information about and select the “country of origin” as well.

STEP 8 : And then select the submit button. The CIN/FCRN and the Company Name and the state in which the company is registered shall be presented. You will need to click on “CIN” to come on the next page of getting certified copies of a company.

STEP 9 : The Company/LLP Name shall be given. Select the “document” from the category given and the “year of filing”. Proceed by submitting the information.

STEP 10 : The documents you wanted shall be given. Select on “Continue”. A pop up message will be opened. Press YES to login on the MCA portal and make the payment accordingly.
