According to Section 2 (1) (d) of the Companies (Selection and Qualification of Directors) Rules 2014, all the directors of the company need to have a Director Identification Number (DIN) which is eight-digit number allotted to the directors.

Process to Verify DIN/DPIN PAN Details
The process involved to verify DIN/DPIN details is as follows:-
Step 1 : Visit the MCA Portal as verification of directors of company is done only through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Website
Step 2 : After entering into the government site of company registration, on the MCA Homepage you will be able to see an option named as “MCA Services”
Step 3 : MCA Services will further include various subheadings, from there select “ DIN Services”
Step 4 : The last step is to select the option “ Verify DIN PAN Details of Director”.
And at last, enter the DIN/DPIN details of a director and click on Submit button. The details of director/designated Partner as per DIN/DPIN database shall be shown in which the permanent account number is required to be filled. So, that’s how simple and quick is the process of verifying a Director Identification Number or Designated Partner Identification Number -PAN Details.
Note:- An error may appear if any information filled by you is incorrect or not recorded in the MCA database. To resolve the discrepancy arising while verifying DIN/DPIN- PAN Details, all you have to do is to file DIR-6 and update the information of Income Tax PAN Details to solve the discrepancy.
