As per the latest update released by the department of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on 28th September 2022, the time limit for filing DIR-3KYC and web -Form DIR-3 KYC-WEB without payment of fees has been extended.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs received a representation in order to grant an extension and that is why the ministry examined the matter and allowed the filling of e-form DIR-3 KYC and web form DIR 3 KYC-WEB without filing upto 15th October 2022.

Sir/Madam,
A representation has been received in the Ministry requesting for an extension of time beyond 30.09.2022 for filing e-form DIR-3-KYC and web- form DIR-3-KYC-WEB without payment of fee.
- The matter has been examined in the Ministry and it has been decided to allow filing of e-form DIR-3-KYC and web-form DIR-3-KYC-WEB without filing fee upto 15th October, 2022.

- DIR-3 KYC – it is a prescribed form required to be filed by every person or director who has been allotted DIN (Director Identification Number) whose DIN status is mentioned as “Approved”.
- DIR 3 KYC WEB – where the person or director who is a DIN holder has already filed his KYC once in eform DIR-3 KYC however, wants to update his or her details. It is a form that can be filed by only those person who have already filed the DIR-KYC form earlier in a financial year.
Filing of both the forms is considered as a necessary compliance by the MCA Department. If the compliance of filing both DIR-3 KYC and FIR 3 KYC WEB form is not fulfilled then, a penalty is implied. So, do not forget to file the form.
Earlier, the time limit of filing form DIR-3 KYC and DIR-3 KYC WEB was limited to the end of September i.e. 30th September 2022. And now, after the extension granted by the MCA the date for filing both the form is extended to 15th of October 2022 without any fee applicable.
