On 27th October 2022, Thursday, The Central Board of Direct Taxes announced a big relief to all the taxpayers. As, the due date of filing Form 26Q for the second quarter of the Financial Year 2022-23 has been extended. The earlier due date of filing the TDS return was 31st October 2022. However, now the relaxation is given and the date is further extended to 30th November, 2022.
This decision has been taken by the Central Board of Direct Taxes due to considering the difficulties in filing of TDS statement in the revised and updated Form 26Q.

CBDT extends due date for filing of TDS statement in Form 26Q for the second quarter of Financial Year 2022-23
Considering the difficulties in filing of TDS statement in the revised and updated Form 26Q, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the due date of filing of Form 26Q for the second quarter of Financial Year 2022-23 from 31st October, 2022 to 30th November, 2022.
